Trifold Wallets

The name trifold comes from the number of sections and folds. Trifold wallets will have three sections and two folds, allowing you to fold it into thirds.

This style offers a compact shape and size. The design provides extra capacity for cards and notes when compared to a traditional bifold wallet. It can easily slip into a top inside coat pocket, front jeans pocket or be secured on a belt chain and carried in a back pocket.

Non-leather, luxury trifold wallets

About the collection

Hello! you must be looking for a trifold wallet.

Our award-winning collection is made with low impact leather alternatives, and linings which use fewer natural resources than virgin polyester, a material commonly used for the interior of luxury leather goods.

Like all our wallets, the trifold is super lightweight and has a similar look and feel to leather but is made with a corn leather, a material which has 2/3 lower environmental impact than cow leather.

Trifold wallets are available with or without belt chains and in a gift set. All our wallets have RFID protection as standard.

What is a 3-fold wallet?

A 3-fold wallet is the same as a trifold wallet, it is simply another term used for this design.

Our materials

Our range of wallets are each handmade with high quality eco-leather. The innovative vegan leather has a base layer made from non-food grade corn oil and the final material contains more than 50% plant material.

The corn used for the material is from a renewable source so the material has a much lower CO2 footprint and is more environmentally friendly than a regular vegan leather. On the top there is a layer of PU to provide benefits such as water, stain and scratch resistance.

The lining we use has been made from 100%, post consumer plastic bottles. It is soft and strong like polyester, but unlike virgin polyester, recycled PET fabric has a significantly lower impact on the environment. It uses 94% less water, 60 less energy and 32% less CO2 to manufacture.

Why choose a trifold wallet

A trifold wallet can be the perfect choice for people who –

carry a lot of cards
like to carry a wallet in the front pocket of trousers
like a compact shape

What are the features of a trifold wallet?

A trifold wallet, while thicker, offers ample storage. In fact, you may be surprised how much a trifold wallet can accommodate. Almost every design is extremely spacious, with all three sides providing storage for cards, plus hidden space for business cards and a full-length notes pocket. Some designs may have an ID card holder or a coin pocket, usually replacing one of the card sections to achieve this.

Tip: if you are looking for a wallet with an ID window, you should know that these are usually made from PVC. PVC is considered the most damaging plastic on the planet. It can become brittle and break over time and, in our opinion, is not a suitable material if you want to own and use the wallet for a long time. It is for this reason that none of our trifold wallets have an ID window.

Is a trifold wallet good?

We believe that trifold wallets are great if you travel and network a lot. It allows you to carry multiple cards and business cards without over bulking each of the card pockets.

How do you put money in a trifold wallet?

Our trifold wallets are designed with a full-length currency pocket which can comfortably hold notes and bills without folding them. This makes the adding and removing of notes and bills fuss free and easy.
