Non Leather, Men's Vegan Wallets

About the collection

Welcome to our award-winning collection of ethically made, premium vegan wallets. All styles are designed in the UK and handcrafted in Europe using traditional leather-working techniques.

Wearing a vegan belt or other non-leather accessories is not just about animal welfare. It is about making an ethical and sustainable choice. Every vegan leather wallet in our collection is made by people who are respected for their skills and paid a fair wage.

Our choice of materials is befitting of modern times when we are all more conscious of the environment and the impact our choices have on the planet. The materials look and feel like leather, so it is easier to make an ethical choice without compromising quality or style. Cruelty-free wallets are a great choice if you are looking to lower your impact on the planet.

We are proud to offer a range of traditional men's card wallet styles, which include the bifold wallet and wallet with coin pocket. We have a growing collection of card holders, too.

All our men’s faux leather wallets have RFID protection as standard.

Our materials

Our range of men's vegan wallets is handmade with high-quality plant-based materials. The innovative material has a base layer made from non-food grade corn oil. The final material contains up to 30% plant content. The corn used for the material is from a renewable source, so the material has a much lower CO2 footprint and is more environmentally friendly than regular vegan leather. On the surface, a layer of PU provides benefits such as water, stain and scratch resistance.

The lining we use is made from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles. It is soft and strong like polyester, but unlike virgin polyester, recycled PET fabric has a significantly lower impact on the environment. It requires 94% less water, 60% less energy, and 32% less CO2 to manufacture.

Personalised wallets

A personalised wallet is one of the best gifts you can give. A wallet transcends age and interests and being able to add that final bespoke touch of personalisation is the last stage in creating a truly memorable gift.

Personalisation adds personality, it makes your mark and defines the wallet as something that is uniquely theirs. All our wallets can be personalised, and the embossed lettering is added to the front, bottom right-hand corner.

You can add this service easily on the product details page of the item. The service takes between 3-5 days to complete, but if you require an item much faster, please do get in touch and we will do our best to get it to you sooner.

A personalised wallet makes a very special keepsake gift that they will carry with them every day.

What does a wallet symbolise?

A wallet often symbolises financial resources, personal identity, and a sense of security. As a symbol, a wallet can represent various concepts and ideas:

1. Financial Status: A wallet can symbolise financial well-being and purchasing power. A full wallet might represent prosperity and abundance, while an empty or thin wallet could symbolise financial struggles or limitations.

2. Responsibility: Keeping a wallet organised and managing its contents reflects a sense of responsibility and financial discipline.

3. Independence: Carrying a wallet signifies a degree of independence. It holds the means to make purchases and transactions without relying on others.

Ultimately, the symbolism of a wallet can vary from person to person and culture to culture, depending on individual beliefs and experiences.

Benefits of Choosing a Vegan Wallet

Vegan leather wallets offer several benefits:

Cruelty-Free: They do not harm or exploit animals in their production. This allows you to align your values with your purchasing decisions.

Eco-Friendly: Vegan wallets reduce the demand for animal-derived materials, which helps conserve wildlife and reduces the environmental impact associated with animal agriculture.

Durable and Functional: Many faux leather wallets are designed to be durable. They are resistant to wear and tear and capable of withstanding daily use.

How can I care for my vegan wallet?

Caring for a non leather wallet is relatively easy. Here are some general care tips:

1. Keep your wallet clean by wiping it with a damp cloth or using mild soap and water if necessary. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.

2. Avoid exposing your wallet to excessive heat or direct sunlight, as it may cause the materials to fade or deteriorate.

3. Store your wallet in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably in a dust bag or protective case.

4. If your wallet gets wet, gently dab it with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid using heat sources to speed up the drying process.

How many wallets should a man have?

This is really a question of personal preference, but for many two seem to work really well for a number of reasons.

Style: Owning one in black and one in brown. This should cater to most of your wardrobe combinations. Matching your shoe and belt colour is already an essential part of wardrobe styling. Adding a matching wallet into the mix will elevate your look.

Function: If you travel, then arguably a second wallet is ideal for slimming down your cards. We rarely need all the cards we carry every day, we need them even less when we are overseas. Carrying less whilst travelling is safer too. Choosing a lightweight card wallet (make sure it has RFID) means you can carry it more easily in shorts and in your front trouser pocket.

Why do wallets have an ID window?

ID windows have been popular in wallets for decades and wallets are still available with ID windows for those who find them essential. ID windows allow a person to flash an ID card without the need to remove the card from the wallet.

Things to consider when a wallet has an ID window.

Space: An ID window undoubtedly takes up space in a wallet leaving less room for cards. Some wallet designs have an ID window on the inside as a third section which sits in the middle of the wallet. Do remember that the more sections a wallet has the fatter it must be. Very often, the tri-section bifold can become very bulky once filled.

Plastic: ID windows are most commonly made with PVC. Aside from being labelled as the most environmentally damaging plastic, PVC degrades over time. There is a very good chance that your wallet will still look good when the ID window is cracked and warped.

For environmental reasons, we do not use PVC in any of our collections. Therefore, our wallets are not made with ID windows.

Why you should never carry your wallet in your back pocket

There are two main reasons why you are advised not to carry your wallet in a back pocket.

Pickpockets: You may have guessed this one already, but it is extremely common for wallets to be stolen from the back pocket of jeans or trousers.  It is therefore advised that wallets are carried out of sight or in a front trouser pocket.

Your health: Really. According to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) around 84% of the entire world population will experience some form of back pain in their life.

One of the main causes of lower back pain could be the bulky wallet in your pocket. Sitting on any surface with a wallet in your pocket creates an asymmetry that distorts your pelvis and hips. This can create physical stress on ligaments, muscles, nerves, and discs, which can ultimately lead to sciatic pain.

Even the smallest wallet or card holder can irritate your sciatic nerve, which happens to be just above where your wallet sits.

Where should you carry your wallet?
The safest place to carry your card wallet is in the front pocket of your trousers, a shirt pocket or a jacket pocket.

If you carry a bulky wallet, perhaps it's the perfect time to slim down and reduce what you carry.
